Social Justice and Responsibility—>great people, great thoughts

“My passionate sense of social justice and social responsibility has always contrasted oddly with my pronounced freedom from the need for direct contact with other human beings and human communities. I gang my own gait and have never belonged to my country, my home, my friends, or even my immediate family, with my whole heart; in the face of all these ties I have never lost an obstinate sense of detachment, of the need for solitude–a feeling which increases with the years. One is sharply conscious, yet without regret, of the limits to the possibility of mutual understanding and sympathy with one’s fellow-creatures. Such a person no doubt loses something in the way of geniality and light-heartedness; on the other hand, he is largely independent of the opinions, habits, and judgments of his fellows and avoids the temptation to take his stand on such insecure foundations.” (Albert Einstein, The world as I see it)

Mysterious Cosmic Powerhouses Explored.

By working in synergy with a ground-based telescope array, the joint Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)/NASA Suzaku X-ray observatory is shedding new light on some of the most energetic objects in our galaxy, but objects that remain shrouded in mystery.

MysteriousCosmicPH

These cosmic powerhouses pour out vast amounts of energy, and they accelerate particles to almost the speed of light. But very little is known about these sources because they were discovered only recently. “Understanding these objects is one of the most intriguing problems in astrophysics,” says Takayasu Anada of the Institute for Space and Astronautical Science in Kanagawa, Japan. Anada is lead author of a paper presented last week at a Suzaku science conference in San Diego, Calif.

These mysterious objects have been discovered in just the last few years by an array of four European-built telescopes named the High Energy Stereoscopic System (H.E.S.S.), located in the African nation of Namibia. H.E.S.S. indirectly detects very-high-energy gamma rays from outer space. These gamma rays are the highest-energy form of light ever detected from beyond Earth, so H.E.S.S. and other similar arrays have opened up a new branch of astronomy.

The gamma rays themselves are absorbed by gases high up in Earth’s atmosphere. But as the gamma rays interact with air molecules, they produce subatomic particles that radiate a blue-colored light known as Cherenkov radiation. H.E.S.S. detects this blue light, whose intensity and direction reveals the energy and position of the gamma-ray source.

Infrastructure and equipment burnt and stolen at FAST-NUCES Karachi campus.

I don’t know what people want to achieve by burning and damaging public property ,banks, hospitals, shops, cars, buses etc.

These things will not serve any good cause or bring back Benazir Bhutto (I think with protesters some criminal elements have joined their hands now or it’s a frustration as a result of poverty and powerlessness).

Yesterday I got a real bad news , my University (FAST-NU) was set on fire by the violent mob, they stole the computers, damaged the engineering labs and stole the equipment and also burnt the seminar rooms, academics etc

Reports are not good about TIPs (Textile Institute of Pakistan) as well … I hope people trapped there have safely reached home(I really hope that the reports are wrong but they are coming from many sources).

This madness should come to an end now and we should act as a real responsible and one nation.

May Allah help us and guide us.

May Allah be our Guide and Help Pakistan.

Yesterday’s incident (Benazir’s Assassination) and the violence afterwards have really left many things to ponder upon for each and every patriotic Pakistani.

“And obey the order of Allah (S.W.T) and of His Messenger (SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam) and do not quarrel together lest you will loose heart and your united strength may depart from you and be patient (in adversity) indeed Allah (S.W.T) is with the patient.” (8; 46) Al-Quran.

It’s a high time for us to think as a true Islamic nation and a true Pakistani for the sake of peace and prosperity of the country and the Ummah. In the current state of play our leadership (Government , Semi-Government, Opposition, Semi-Opposition) should think for a way out of this national crisis for this we need to think as an honest, just, freedom loving and one nation and try to solve our problems by ourselves (the best friend we can have in an hour of crisis is Our Allah and US not USA or UN) .

And our government specially should think it’s strategy on so called “War On Terror” and our role as “Front Line State” (This has become a “War Of Terror” lead by a fascist leader Bush implementing his evil agenda and we are falling into the trap his policy makers have set for us).

Janib e manzil barha rastai mein hi bhatak gaia

Kuch dhundh thi chai hoi kuch mein rasta bhool gaia

Dhundh chatnai ka intazar karoon

Yeh is ghari ka taqaza nahi

Roshni Milnai ka intazar karoon

Yeh waqt merai paas nahi

Bhooli hoi rah khud mil jai

Yeh mumkin nahi hargiz nahi

Ab raasta bhi khud hai dhoondna

Manzil ki talash khud hai karni

InshaAllah Phir roshni bhi aaigi

Aur manzil bhi Khuda Daiga

We just need to take an initiative to the right path and InshaAllah the success will come

“And remember when you were few and were reckoned weak in the Land, and were afraid that men might kidnap you but He (the Most High) provided a safe place for you, strengthened you with His help and provided you with good things so that you might be grateful” (8; 26) Al-Quran.

Crisis are tests for nations and great nations face the crisis boldly and wisely. Killing people (who have nothing to do with the incident) and burning schools, hospitals, buses, cars, shops etc will not neither help any good cause nor it will bring back the departed soul but these things  will fuel more fire of hatred.

May Allah be our guide.

Eid ul Azha Mubarak—>I hope we will understand the true spirit.

Assalam o alaikum

Eid Mubarak to all of you and your family members.

Eid ul Azha reminds us of the great sacrifice our great prophet Hazrat Ibrahim (Alaih e Salam).

This Eid gives us the message to always be ready to  submit our will and desires or what ever we have  for the will of Allah.

Also it gives us the message of sharing( when we share the meat of the sacrificed animals with our relatives, neighbours and the needy people living around us).

This occasion comes with a great event of HAJJ (The great holy pilgrimage our lucky<who are blessed with the opportunity> Muslim brothers and sisters pay to the most sacred place on earth) which gives us the message of universal brotherhood and equality in front of Allah.

I hope we will understand the true spirit of Eid ul Azha.

A real friendly advice by Abdullah Gul(Turkish President).

I think the comment made by Abdullah Gul(Turkish President) is somewhat a statement which should be the focal point of our policy making.

According to media reports:

“Pakistan is passing through a critical time … therefore, in this kind of critical period, all the decision makers should focus on Pakistan’s future,” Gül said when asked about probable impacts of the ongoing crisis in Pakistan over the country’s image in the eyes of the international community.

Abdullah Guls visit to Pakistan and his efforts to stabilize the country’s situation shows the strength of ties between the two brotherly nations. I hope his efforts will help the situation in Pakistan to get eased up a bit.

Abdullah Gul also urged the Pakistani government and opposition parties to look for a unified future for Pakistan.
