Ajab waiz ki deen-dari hai yaa rab
Adawat hai usay sarey jihan se

Koi ab tak na yai samjha ke insaan
Kahan jata hai aata hai kahan sai

Wahein se raat ko zulmat mili hai
Chamak taron nai payee hai jahan sai

Pakistan’s Aisam ul Haq and USA’s James Cerretani beat Swiss team of Roger Federer and M. Chiudinelli in ATP Basel tournament.

The doubles team beat the Swiss favorites for the match in straight set with scores of 6-4 and 6-3.

Tennis has been a real neglected sports in Pakistan despite having a great following all over the world but somehow players like Aisam ul Haq on their own create some chances for their selves and the country to record some glory.

It’s a real great achievement for a country where government doesn’t care about and support tennis.

Congratulations to Aisam Al Haq and James Cerretani!

The real threat to any imperialist or totalitarian power is that people start to think freely,justly and with open mind.

Who can forget the devastation of 8 October 2005 Northern Pakistan & Kashmir earthquake which claimed the lives of thosands of people and left more as homeless and injured.

The biggest victim of the earthquake were kids and educational institutions as the earthquake came at morning time when many of the kids were in schools and got hit by the devastation.

The people of Pakistan especially and all over the world in general immediately rose to the call and showed their support to the affected people.

Sadly the response from our government and international ones except for initial days cannot be considered as great. Pledges were made , estimates of rehabilitation were given but not much on the ground was done.

Still hundreds of thousands are living in tents , more than 1300 educational institutions are yet to be built leaving more than 100,000 people to study under the open sky or in temporary camps.

I don’t know after having so many refugees from Bajur,Sawat,Waziristan and other places due to an undue war how the victims of the 2005 earthquake will get the attention they need.

Ramadan is the month in which Allah revealed Quran on us :

“The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong). So whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of) the month (of Ramadan), he must fast that month, and whoever is ill or on a journey, the same number (of days which one did not fast must be made up) from other days.

Allah intends for you ease, and He does not want to make things difficult for you. (He wants that you) must complete the same number (of days), and that you must magnify Allah for having guided you so that you may be grateful to Him” (2: 185).

As Quran is a book of hidaiath and the biggest message it gives us to stay away from shirk so in this Ramadan we should make a pledge with ourselves to get away from shirk as far as possible and associate no partners with Him.

As it is taught us in the Quran to invite Ahl e Kitab towards Tauheed:

“O People of the Book! Let us come to a mutual agreement, that we shall worship and obey none but God. That neither shall we ascribe divinity to anyone beside Him, nor shall we take human beings from among ourselves as our lords beside God.” And if they turn away, then say, “Bear witness that it is we who have surrendered ourselves unto Him.”(3:64)

Also one of the most common type of Shirks we see in darbars,shrines and other places is asking help from graves and sufis which is condemned in Quran in the words:

“Those whom you call upon besides Allah, [such as mystics and saints], are people like you. Go ahead and call upon them, let them respond by helping you if you are true in your belief”(7:194)

“ Do they ascribe to Him as partners things that can create nothing, but are themselves created”(7:191)

“Call upon those whom you imagine beside Allah! They have not an atom’s weight of power either in the heavens or in the earth, nor have they any share in either, nor does He need any of them as a helper.”(34:22)

Recent incidents of Gojra, Muridkai and some other parts made me sad and made me to think about whether this is the Pakistan we need?
The incidents were a result of mobs irrational behavior towards blasphemy concept and the exploitation of these emotions by some freaks who call themselves ulemas.

Also the facts that missing Pakistanis are still missing and the government is doing nothing for them, Dr. Afia is still having a miserable time in US jails and courts, electricity is still a problem of our country even in the 21st century  and ofcourse don’t forget we are a nuclear state, jialas are plundering the nations wealth,Kashmiri Pakistanis are still fighting for their basic right of freedom from India and name the problem and you will find it there in our country.

Our forces are still fighting a foreign war imposed on us by the former dictator (who is still free and enjoying his days in Europe) just for Dollars! And nothing is done to give justice to those who died in the name of this war against humanity and Pakistan.

So what’s the point? Are we dead as a nation or incapable of solving the problems? Is this the country our ancestors struggled for?

I some times get really irritated and in some way frustrated by the present situation but in between this I heard some real good news which brought hope in me.

The days like 31st July 2009, on which the Supreme Court ( the true one restored by the people of Pakistan on 16th March 2009 after a long and hard struggle ) of Pakistan declared the actions of the former dictator and tyrant Pervaiz Musharraf on 3rd November 2007 as unconstitutional and illegal and proved the dictator as a traitor and also declared PCO and PCO judges as illegal making their decisions including NRO as ineffective.

This decision is important for me as I also was and still a big supporter for the movements for independent judicial system in Pakistan as this is the only way we can keep ourselves together.
I remember the last year long march of June 2008 (as I was a part of that) and how people from every corner of the country, every walk of life, every ethnic identity of the country, every sect, every religious presence in the country took part in a movement to save Pakistan. The movement saw it’s ups and downs, saw the killings of innocent people by establishment and dictator supported parties on 12 May 2007 and 9 April 2008 but it kept it’s pace despite all hardships and finally achieved it’s big milestones.
I still say milestones because the path to achieve SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC JUSTICE and COMPLETE JUDICIAL INDEPENDENCE is still long and hard but the big positive thing is that we are on the right track, the change is coming and I am really proud of that.
The change has started, I can hear that beat, you can hear it too and those who can’t will see the change as it will come InshaAllah!
Therefore I dedicate this day to the people who supported and participated in the cause of independent
judiciary , the cause of saving Pakistan.

In the end I would like to share a quote of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah:
“As you know, history shows that in England conditions, some time ago, were much worse than those prevailing in India today. The Roman Catholics and the Protestants persecuted each other. Even now there are some States in existence where there are discriminations made and bars imposed against a particular class. Thank God, we are not starting in those days. We are starting in the days when there is no discrimination, no distinction between one community and another, no discrimination between one caste or creed and another. We are starting with this fundamental principle that we are all citizens and equal citizens of one State.”
