Khudi ko kar buland itna… By Allama Iqbal

Filed under: life, thoughts, wisdom — Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , — syedfaisal @ 3:54 pm

I love this poem by Allama Iqbal because of its concept of Khudi and specially the part:

Sitaron se age jahan aur bhi hai aur bhi hai
Abhi ishq ke Imtehan aur bhi hai aur bhi hai

——————————————
“Khudi ko kar buland itna”

By Allama Iqbbal

Khudi ko kar buland itna ke har taqder se pehle
Khuda bande se ye poche bata teri raza kia hai

Khudi ko kar buland itna ke har taqder se pehle
Khuda bande se ye poche bata teri raza kia hai

Sitaron se age jahan aur bhi hai aur bhi hai
Abhi ishq ke Imtehan aur bhi hai aur bhi hai
Sitaron se age jahan aur bhi hai aur bhi hai
Abhi ishq ke Imtehan aur bhi hai aur bhi hai

Khudi ko kar buland itna ke har taqder se pehle
Khuda bande se ye poche bata teri raza kia hai

Tu shaheen hai, Tu shaheen hai, Tu shaheen hai
Tu shaheen hai, Tu shaheen hai Parvaz hai kam tera kam tera
Tere samne Aasman aur bhi hai
Tu shaheen he Basera kar Paharon ki chatano per
Tu shaheen hai tu Shaheen hai tu shaheen hai

Khudi ko kar buland itna ke har taqder se pehle
Khuda bande se ye poche bata teri raza kia hai

Khudi ko kar buland itna ke har taqder se pehle
Khuda bande se ye poche bata teri raza kia hai
bata teri raza kia hai
bata teri raza kia hai

  2. good poetry. If I can turn back time, I can be a part of that revolutionary time. Illama Iqbal deserves more than the appreciation he has received so far. His remarkable poems have been said in Indian movies, but they say it’s what their Nehru said. and I was thinking what>? it was Illama Iqbal.. I think I need to blog about this some more. Keep it up, good blog

  4. These are lyrics from the Junoon song, but I think it is a combination of two separate poems by Iqbal Ilama. The actual “Sitaron is aage” is as follows:

sitaron se age jahan aur bhi hain
abhi ishq ke imtihan aur bhi hain

tahi zindagi se nahin ye fazayen
yahan saikaron karawan aur bhi hain

    kanat na kar alam-e-rang-o-bu par
chaman aur bhi, ashiyan aur bhi hain

agar kho gaya ek nasheman to kya gam
    maqamat-e-ah-o-fugan aur bhi hain

tu shahin hai parwaz hai kam tera
tere samne asman aur bhi hain

isi roz-o-shab mein ulajh kar na rah ja
k tere zamin-o-makan aur bhi hain

gae din ke tanha tha main anjuman mein
yahan ab mere razadan aur bhi hain

  7. Pakistani singers are very talented. Only that singing and dancing is not seen as a good profession. Many bands in Pakistan sing at weddings and parties, but one or two make it to the top.

  13. BEST SONG WRITTEN BY ALLAMA IQBAL

  17. i am really touched by khudi ko kar buland itna. Iam weeping , i am so touched but still all this inspirational poetry not helping me in my practical life.i could not find the way for success , for iself independence, i dont want to ask or to spread my hands infront any body else for any thing, but i am forced to do it, i could not find the way to study further,it seems i am dead, the poetry looks good to read only or to weep on oneself and it is only due to block roads created by other fellow beings, not finding ways for, khudi ko kar buland itna.the only way is to pray regularly or to offer sajdas at home.this poetry inspired me to say prayers.

  20. Hello everybody,
This is just to let you all guys know that I love Sir Allama Iqbal immensely. The reasons behind this are many. As a matter of fact, what I am today is obviously because of RAB’s (God, The Universal King) meherbaani hai ji ooye. Secondly, I would thank Dr. Allama Iqbal ji for his noble work. Indeed, I am so impressed by his works as it changed my way towards the success. I lost my guardian (father) when I was 14 and since then I had tough time in life. I gave up my studies as the circumstances were quite bad. My family did not have few bugs (Rs. 150) to pay my college fees. I have seen both the sides (pain and pleasure) of life and meanwhile Sir Allama Iqbal’s poetry started impacting on me gradually. Honestly, if I were never attracted by his poetry, still I would have been a labor by profession or very far behind in life.
I just want to share one of his powerful, influential, strongest, commanding, dominating, pursuasive, overwhelming, & pungent poetic works. If you understand it and practice it in life, trust me guys.. you would see greatest changes in life which would help you to be blessed by the RAB (The Universal King) here and in the Afterlife either. And it is as follows:
“Agar teri qud-hi me ho inquilaab paida,
Agar teri qud-hi me ho inquilaab paida,
Ajab nahi ke tere chaaro suh badal jaaye.

    Heads off??
I know, certainly it would bounce. Let me put it in plain words. Firstly, let us be aware of the words: qud-hi (selfhood; The state of having a distinct identity; individuality. The fully developed self; an achieved personality.), Inquilaab (against), and suh (directions).

It means, if you have a control on your selfhood, (or) if you can dominate the one (Satan/devil) who is dominating you, then apparently your entire life would change. For instance, I am in my office and I see many girls/woman in western clothing. Then obviously, Satan/devil would direct me to see them and get attracted. However, if I dominate him (Satan) by changing my vision/eyesight from those cloth-less women/girls or ignoring them, then I would be rewarded by my RAB for this sacrifice (Jihad). This is the authentic concept of Jihad though unfortunately people utilize it in a different way.
Since we are humans, we are dominated by both, the good (angel) and the bad (Satan). Unluckily, almost everyone is being dominated greatly by the bad (Satan). Once you gain the power to battle with Satan, you would definitely become the Warrior on this unclean and temporary home (planet, Earth). Thatafter, you would certainly deserve for what you have sacrificed.
When we pray the Almighty king, and we ask him many things but still most of them are not accepted. He would fulfill our very few desires. Do you know why? Its merely because our souls are impure. Therefore, I suggest everyone who’s reading my comment to dominate the dishonest Satan and pure our souls.
Last of all, I hope that I made this message clear. In case of any error/fault is found, I apologize. Since I want to be corrected, I love feedbacks. Kindly, feel free to communicate with me.

    Thanks and regards,
    Paramjeet Singh.
